Relaxing is one of the hardest things to do, but it is very
important.  The more tense you are, the more your muscles will get
strained when the impacts come.  I find that it helps to concentrate on
each impact and to estimate the monetary value of it's damage rather
than to think of what can happen to my person ;^).

So Scott, how many times have you flown up & over a pair of bike handlebars?
BTDT, no darn fun at all.  But it does happen in extreme slow motion.  Right
up to and including the pain as you're laying there on the road.

After my fourth Superman impersonation attempt (none of them were my fault)
I decided to give up on the bikes for a while.  BTW, I love the one line
that I heard every time from the other idiot;  "I didn't see him, he came
out of nowhere."

Obviously.

Thank God for good helmets and strong bones.
