I think Carl should take his computer talents and create a realtime
interface between a computer and the timing system.  A bar code on the side
of each car, or an AI image recognition system that can find and read the
car number, will tell the computer which car is running and the timer will
tell it the time.  Once this is in place the computer can look up the data
that the entrant put in over the web to get the entrant's name and car
class.  All the results can then be quite simply displayed in real time on
one of those video projection systems on the side of the motorhome.  Version
2.0 can do image recognition to recognize the driver and determine the car
class so that the entrant doesn't have to waste 45 seconds putting in data
over the web.  Of course it will automatically deduct the entry fees from
his or her bank account.
