Brooks,

Talk to Dennis and Peggy Hale. They put on a SoloI session last year (or
was it the year before?) at Thunderhill at the same time as the street
school. They can give you better details.

I'm just wondering if I'm the only one that misses that SFR doesn't do any
solo I (Solo1?) events. It seems like it would be a great combination of
the safety and focus-only-on-driving of Solo2, and the higher speeds and
longer runs of competition road racing.

I talked to Gary Pitts up at Thunderhill, and he basically said the problem
is that there's no interest, and that if they put on Solo1 events, there
wouldn't be enough entries to cover track cost, let alone having respectable
depth in each class.

Is there anyone else out there who's with me? Obviously nothing's going to
happen this year, but if there's interest I'd like to push for some kind of
Solo1 series next year. Of course, being the loudmouth, I'd be willing to
invest energy in making it happen if there's a chance it would be
successfull.

What do you all think?

Cheers
-b
