I've been racing since before you were born and I've never
heard of indexing the calipers, spark plugs yes but calipers? Maybe its a
terminology issue
but please educate me on what indexing calipers is? I learned an interesting
lesson when I ran at Buttonwillow a few weeks ago. It was cold all day. I
have good brake and caliper cooling ducts. I was using new Hawk blues. They
were being cooled after each brake application so when I hit the brakes again
the pads and rotors were too cool. The pads really tore up my rotors. I'm
going to have to make a mental note to tape over the brake cooling ducts when
its cold . A hint to consider. TIA.
