Well, at speed it sputters a bit when warm. Sounds flabby at times and it
seems as though one carb is working at that time. Then all is fine. Then
not. Then good again and one mile later not. By the end of the hour I am
worried about getting home. Points appear to be there and fine. I have yet
to re-test my valve clearances since the head job a year ago (3k miles). I
would think that would be a constant problem and not intermittent.

The coil is as found on a 20-30 yr barn find.

1. I plan to replace coil.
2. Check fan blades (yes, my MGA had them backwards for years. I thought
everyone else was a dumb ass. wrong.)
3. Tune-up - replace points, condenser, plugs.
4. Rebuilding carbs with full kit.
5. Wrap exhasut pipe with header wrap to protect inline electronic fuel pump
from heat.

Anything else?

Cheers,
Scott
