I totally agree with Jonas with the addition of:
(1) 'check carbs' [after checking timing] [too lean ?? worked on
recently?] ! !
(2) prior to replacing fan, your personally NON-acquainted owner
"STILL/MUST need(s) to know what water flow
THRU the block" is --- as in mandatory ! !
