Actually, on the same thread, i came across an old parade boot that was given
to me in a box of parts. When I snapped it on to see how it fit, to my
surprise I saw two holes cut and stitched where the mystery holes are. It
looked like a factory job, not fabricated. What would have gone there that
needed to poke through the parade boot? Flags, maybe?
