My turn -  I agree with Ben and Lawrie.  

I know 2 Miata owners.  They are both former LBC owners (in their lost
youth) and wanted to again enjoy the fun of a roadster, but didn't want
a 30 year old car to take care of.  Too bad MG didn't have anything in
the US market.  They had no choice - It was Miata or nothing.

Personally, I like the Miata.  Sacrilegious it may be, but I'd get one
myself for a daily driver if I didn't work nights in a car-theft prone
neighborhood.  Even if the MGF were available here, I'd still choose the
Miata.  It looks nicer and is cheaper.

Let the flames begin!
