I use a MIller 150.  This will weld tin cans as well as plate steel.  I've
got 6 yrs use out of mine,with no probs.  When I got mine, it was $600 +
tank.  I had a Sears pocket mig, and it was ok for basic stuff.  The thing
is, when you get a really good tool, you find uses for it every day.  Mine
has paid for itself a thousand times, and I'd never sell it.
