I've thought about making smoked plexiglass visors for both my MG (although
the original visors are still in pretty good shape) and for my Porsche
(which is notorious for the visors becoming more blob shaped than visor
shaped over time)... On the B, especially, the visor would be more useful as
a wind deflector since it wouldn't completely block your vision.
