I looked at doing that with state farm.  They would take an appraisal
from an MG/English car specialist.  (Your local mechanic would do fine
probably.)  I found that it was cost prohibitive to do it with state
farm however.  I had full coverage, but realized that without the
agreed value they would not pay anything near what it would cost to
replace.
