In response to your piece on morons in Florida, you are preaching to the
choir! As a Virginia transplanted to Florida 2 years ago (but travelling all
over all the time), I can tell you that the instant-idiot-add-rain phenomenon
is not limited to Florida. Idiots are found everywhere!

If you are referring to that nasty storm that went over Florida Sunday last
week, I was on Interstate 4 just west of Disney when it was the worst. I hit
standing water in the middle of a concrete-barrier construction zone and
almost hit the barrier, but I managed to regain control...in all things,
Audi's loaner car, an A6 with only 500 miles on it (he he!).

As for speeders versus slowpokes, I believe in the signs I see on the road
frequently (Am I only one who sees them?) that state that slower traffic
should keep right. That, coupled with ccourteous drivers who pay attention to
their driving rather than the cell phone, breakfast, makeup, and the
newspaper, should make for safe travelling, but alas, it appears that that is
a thing of the past. Maybe I should move to Europe...
