I dunno. What is the fascination with the wider wheels? I was 24
years old when my 1968 Midget was new. I drove and even raced lots of
cars back then with narrow wheels and tires. Heck, I remember the
first radial tires and how suspicious we all were of them. They
weren't like the bias ply tires that you could power skid through the
corners. Radials hung on right up until they suddenly let go and then
there was nothing you or God could do to gather everything back up and
make it through the corner! I'm perfectly happy driving my Midget the
same way people did when it was new. It was a lot of fun to drive back
then even with the tall, narrow tires on it... and it still is. I
don't need to race any more at my age. I just want to enjoy my LBC.
The 155/80R13s will do me just fine. If going really fast through the
corners were my desire, I'd get a Caterham Seven or a Porsche or
something not a Midget.

Cheers!!
