You Are Correct Sir.
There are two Bolts under the Tar matting on the shelf behind the
seats. You may have to dig them out, but they are there.

*8* bolts is not enough! there are 2 in the engine bay, 2 in the
footwells, 4 across the center, 2 in the center for the seatbelts,
and
2 over the rear spring. don't forget the rear radius arms that bolt
to
the body. The brake cable has to be removed from over the diff by
removing the brake compensator that links the cables that run from
the
wheels to the handbrake. I almost want to say there are 2 more
bolts
on the shelf behind the seats, but I'd need to look at one of my
cars
     to check.

Fellow Listers...

I need some help regarding lifting the body off my 72 spit.. I have
removed all (8) mounting bolts, steering colomn, and brake cables and
all
wires that might be in the way... and the body seems to be stuck...
the
read & front lift off the chassis (1/2 an inch) when I pull on them,
but
the center porting seems to be stuck there... does anyone have any idea
as
for what could be holding it there?

 Any information will be apreciated...

 Thanks!
