Jim,
Its your car and its no crime to make yourself happy so paint it as you
please.
Spa White ran up to CT21495 and New White from CT21520. Your TR4 should have
New White, but it is possible that the factory used some Spa White they had
lying around, or it may even be possible that it was painted another shade
of white as a 'special order'. The Heratige Certificate for your car will
most likely list the original colour.
It is also possible that the exposed paint you mentioned has changed shade
over the years, or that at some stage throughout your car's life it had been
resprayed another shade of white. The possibilities are endless ;-)
BTW which pearl white are you referring to?
