Modern Oilite is 18% mineral oil.

These bushings are typically used in an application where that is all the
lub it will ever get.  In valve guide duty it will get a bit of lubrication
from the oil that leaks past the valve stem seal (if so equipped).

Speaking of soaking, I wonder if the process can be speeded up by immersing
the bushing in a dish of oil placed in a vacuum chamber.  Drawing a vacuum
will draw out all the air and when the air pressure returned it will force
oil into the pores.  This could speed up the 24 hour soak to a 5 minute
process.
