Sensible precaution. More friendships have been ruined by ignoring
such precautions than have ever been damaged by insisting on them.
Picture this:
Stef: Aaargghh! I've lost the remote, I can't get into the underground
car park, and I can't get my car out! What am I going to do?
Co-worker: Well, you can pay me the hundred bucks that it's going to
cost me to replace it, for a start.
Stef: <hits co-worker over the head with a handy VDU and stalks off to
find an oxy-acetylene cutter>
