Blake,

As a dues paying VTR member, I respect the board's decision regarding the
restriction of the maintenance articles; however, I agree with others here
who feel it's a bad decision. I strongly believe that the main focus of the
VTR should be to promote and encourage Triumph ownership and use *for all
Triumph owners*. I'm not sure that the signal sent by restricting the
maintenance section isn't one of promoting that use by VTR members *only*.

I also believe that the *free* distribution of that material is an excellent
recruiting tool. In fact, I stumbled across a few of those articles shortly
after acquiring my TR4 nearly four years ago, and was so impressed with the
usefulness of the information that I immediately became a VTR member. I
seriously doubt that I would have joined the VTR simply to gain access to
the articles had they been restricted when I first found the VTR website.

Again, let me stress that I do respect the decision that has been made, and
I plan to continue my membership regardless. The new website looks
fantastic, and I realize that it must take a tremendous amount of time and
effort to produce and maintain it. However, I personally am willing to
allow my VTR membership dues go to help subsidize that effort for *all*
Triumph owners.
