I ran an open-face helmet for years...until my first inversion
experience. You can't believe what flies around in a car when it's
rolling. Bought a full-face helmet next week and haven't raced with an
open-face since. Just an observation/suggestion.

I would suggest trying the helmet on. The fit varies with manufacturer.
  Too
tight is not good - too loose is not good. Also get the newest one you
can so
it will pass tech for the longest period of time before you might need
to buy
another.

Have fun, Barry
