I have a question to put out to all that can give input.
I have series V with a correct motor that runs but leaks oil from the front
of the motor.
Has no overdrive.
Has new wire wheels.
The car is in great shape.
I also have a spare series V basket case for parts,
And I also have a running ford 2.8 V-6 with tranny, and 8 inch rear end.
My question is should I opt to rebuild what I already have, which is all
original and correct or, do I go the V-6 route which will provide me with
what I believe will be a more reliable motor and a transmission with
overdrive.
If I convert this over I have the steel wheels off the parts car to replace
the wires.
I want to have an original car but also want long haul reliability.
Can I have my cake and eat it too?
What are the price differences?
