I've used that and it's OK but I like Hylomar better. Both seal well but the
easy removal of the old gasket material is a big feature of the "blue
stuff."

In that same book (Nuts, Bolts, Fasteners & Plumbing) his
favorite sealer is Permatex Gasket Eliminator #515. He states
that it is the best surface repairer as well as gasket
eliminator, as it will fill a void up to 0.050 in.
