Neil:
I knew they'd been roadraced some. Get right down to it, any car with that
setup-- including Porsche-- can be really tail-happy in the wrong hands.
But that oversteer can obviously HELP you in the corners, if you drive like
you know that different vehicles have different response characteristics.
You're right-- Nader is a nitwit.

Russ;

The '65 & later Corvairs could be pretty quick around a tight road course if
it was set up right. BTW, that Corvair air-cooled flat-6 bore a striking
resemblence to the old Franklin flat-6 aircraft engine, too.

Nader was/is a nitwit-- in fact, he doesn't even have a driver's license.

Howard--
I was just kidding about having a Corvair-- although I've always kind of
liked them, ever since getting to drive a friend's new turbo around '64 or
'65, as a young soldier.

If I had a Corvair LSR car, I'd have to name it "Unsafe at any Speed", just
as an insult to Nader. In my opinion, he killed an interesting car that was
being abused by people who didn't know how to drive it.

Russ,
I saw a white 65 or 66 coupe in a field today near Bisbee,Az. I used to have
one of those.
