Dave I'll bet is was a rod like Ox-Weld 37...You can use it just about
anything...6013, or what the power industrial calls "mud rod" works
great too. I built 2 trailer frames with it.  Should be used down but
I've able to use it vertical and upside down with a little practice...I
like a DC stick..J.D.


I wish i could remember what rods we used on the farm when i worked
there as
a teenager. All i remeber is it would fix the manure spreader without
having
to really clean it up a lot. The big inspiration to do a good job is if
it
broke in the field you had to shovel it out to fix it again.. then
shovel it
back in to spread it..
