I'm 16 and I have a 54 chevy which I'm in the process of rodding out.
The body will remain stock other than the 53 front end I'm putting on
and a flatbed. The running gear will be a later 6 with an auto and 
newer rear I enjoy hot-rods but there is also something very reasuring 
in driving my dad's 49 stocker. I guess it all depends on your mood of 
the moment.
