Attachment of electric fan.

Having just completed such an isntallation, I can concur that plastic (or metal)
tie rods are NOT the way to attach a fan.

I was able to use a fan with molded brass threaded inserts in the attach feet.
One set was "pop rivited" to the inside panel under the hood.
the other side was connected to an aluminum "L" brfacket about 7" long. This
bracket was fastened to the decorative "crank handle" box with a big sheet metal
screw, and the brass inserts were bolted to this aluminum bracket. Minimum of
hardware, good stiffness. Foam seals to the radiator are necessary no matter
how you do it.

Any questions?
