While Daimler Chrysler (Chrysler) have pulled their
contingency programs, they are still involved in
grass roots motor sports. Witness their involvement
in the Showroom Stock testing at Mid Ohio this past
October. They were there seeking parity for the car(s).
The $dollar$ may have dried up, but the enthusiasm
of the Chrysler Motor sports group is still as high
as ever.

I think I'm repeating old info here, but as I remember Chrysler pulled much
of their contingency money for amateur racing and are going to field a
NASCAR "car" in the near future, so it seems that since they aren't worried
about amateur racers anymore they are making the neon less racer friendly as
well.
