Hi, Joe.

For a more authoratitive answer about the sliding joint, the best I
can offer right now is the cross-section of the frictionless propeller
shaft on page 2.402 of the Bentley reprint of the Herald, Vitesse,
Spitfire Workshop Manual.  Close examination of the picture shows the
rollers installed in the alternating fashion I described.  Sorry I
can't come up with anything better.  If I do, I'll let you know.
