Yes, they swap, as many of us running twin little SU's on our 1500's can tell
you.  Sometimes you can have a bit of problem with clearances on the very late
exhaust manifolds (extra lumps), but it's easily overcome.  If you've got a good
line on a twin weber set up, I'd snag it and play.
