Glenn, Chris, and others--

I'm a little disheartened by this reply. Over the years, I and others
have tried to affirm that Triumph owners, wherever they may be, are a
vanishing breed. As the cars disappear through all manner of attrition,
so do owners, perforce.

We all depend upon support from others with Triumphs, and the excitement
of an isolated owner in South Africa responding to another new owner in
South Africa should be cause for celebration, rather than a cause for
derision. When I wanted advice about tuning a PI system for altitude, I
got some advice from a South African living at 5000 ft. in and around
Kenya, and he damned sure didn't do a nationality check before he
answered my questions.

Moreover, look at _all_ of Chris' responses. His first was to welcome a
fellow Triumph owner, and his second was to provide the new list member
with club information in his area--something no different than anyone of
us in the US would have done for a new owner in our area.

South Africa is a long way away, yes. But, I wish to remind all that
despite the fact that this list originates in the US, it is not the
property of US Triumph owners. It is for all Triumph owners, everywhere.
This list is a world resource, not a club with national boundaries. And
shame on those who think otherwise.

Cheers.
