No one has yet mentioned the dreaded ...$money$...word. Let's not forget
that these events take a huge financial commitment on behalf of the
organizers,
with quite a bit of money up front for commitments on hotels, meals, track
events, etc etc. All of the events we've all been referring to have been, or
will be staged by local or national marque clubs, usually with an established
membership and a treasury. Not sure how that will be tackled at this early
discussion stage, but it needs a top priority on the discussion agenda, unless
someone with deep pockets is going to bankroll the operation.
