So did I! The spec. says between 40 and 60 psi at 2000 rpm when 
hot. At idle, much lower pressures is acceptable. A pressure of
40 psi at 2000 rpm is sign of an engine with some *natural*        
wear, but still sound. Think of it as loosely built, and think
of the high friction losses in a tightly built (i.e. new)
engine. I'm pretty sure a "40 psi" engine has got quite a few
more horses to enjoy.
