When my master stuck forcing the clutch to remain disengaged last year
it was because the rubber seal in the master had swollen up so much it
just  jammed.  I had a heck of a time extracting the plunger... 

This was due to my using hydraulic oil instead of brake fluid, which
worked just fine for a few years....

Now my clutch system is silicon based...
