I had a motorhome/van conversion that had the second battery (for devices
inside the motorhome) in the rear under a seat. It was enclosed inside a
wooden box with a lid attached with two clasps and therefore easily removed.
Venting to the outside was via a 2" ABS tube out the side of the box and
through the floor to the underside. The cables for connection to the
charging system also exited through the tube. HTH
