Jim Booth put a Triumph 2000 automatic transmission and hand controls in
Olga, present TRA President John Warfield's old TR3 so he could drive it. I
seem to remember that it went in fairly easily and the result looked great.
It was judged in Concours de Elegance and the judges agreed to overlook the
tranny. It won Best of Show at TRA. The installation looked so good it
fooled lots of lookers; "I didn't know an automatic was a factory option!"
"Oh yes, it was."

John sold the car and it was converted back to a manual trans. It's now in
Pennsylvania I think.
