Scotty, you've been driving a Vette for too many years.  As someone else
mentioned, not all ABS systems are created equal.  

Try autocrossing a FWD car (I know, I know, it's not a "real" car, it's
doesn't count) with both rear wheels on the same ABS channel.  Try
braking "late" into a corner and see what happens when that inside rear
tire begins to lift.  Did you WANT the brakes to let go and push you out
wide?  I don't think so.

If Vette-quality 4-channel ABS was available for my car, I'd consider
it.
