For the record, I'd like to say right here and now that, even though
Mark and I had our differences a few months ago over something which,
as it turns out now, seems totally innocuous, I have grown to greatly
appreciate his input. And I wouldn't take that input away from him or
anybody else on this list for all the money in the world!! 8<{) On
this list, we ALL have a tendency to shoot from the lip from time to
time. If you can't recognize that shortcoming that we all have, then
maybe you'd better re-think being a part of these discussions.
I really appreciate some of the recent articles that Mark's written
for NAP and I think it might serve us all well to read them again just
a little more closely and with a little more open mind. Disregard any
personal vendetta you might have and read what he really has to say
between the lines. I think you'll find a whole lot more to agree with
than you might think.
We finally had the chance to meet face-to-face at the NT in Ft Worth.
Even though it was brief, I really think that some of you are really
selling Mark short on what he has to offer to these discussions. I
would only ask that you read his posts with a more open mind, as I
have, and THEN make your decision about what he has to say.
Sorry I can't be with you all in Topeka. That was certainly something
that I couldn't foresee until last weekend. Go out there and raise 40
kinds o' hell for me, even if you don't win!
