Money you spent on consumables in 2002 for the 2002 season doesn't get to
get counted again for the 2003 season. The Cooper S was in DS in the 2002
season.

Sorry, you're right. You'll also need a camber/caster guage (I've got a
SmartCamber, but there are certainly cheaper options), some string, and
four jackstands.

And yes, I can get repeatable alignments as good as the two alignment
racks we compared against. The advantage of the alignment rack is that
its faster, not that its inherently more accurate.

I've run national events since '99, ran nationals in CP in 2000, and 2001,
ran nationals this past year in SM2.

I've had some national trophy finishes during that time, but I'm certainly
not the same caliber of driver as John Thomas or Sammy, or lots of other
folks.

I wasn't aware that only national champions spent money to autocross, but
whatever. If you think spending money is the main thing that makes you
faster, go for it.
