Probably the same product known by a different name in the US.  The Aussie
product is a strip of putty, each half in a shade of grey, that is kneaded
together and used immediately.  It sets hard and is also advertised as
repairing radiators.  Strictly speaking, I think it is used for repairing
leaky petrol tanks, but it sure does a good job of sealing the sending
unit.
