There is ONE law here buddy - representation! If the sticker says 260 it
BETTER
be a 260, otherwise you have a lawsuit. THAT IS MISREPRESENTATION OTHERWISE.
Whether it is the oil crisis or a loss of power (or gain) there are plenty of
ways to fight this problem IF there EVER was a situation of this sort. It is
not your personal review of the values and deficiencies of 289 vs. 260,
rather a simple element of representation.
Whether it's a Monza, Audi, Ford, or Sunbeam, if you don't have the right
numbers to substantiate the powertrain you purchased in writing (on the
window sticker)you are open for a lawsuit. To my knowledge NO lawsuit has
ever been substantiated on this matter....does anyone believe that there
wouldn't be one unless this was a farce?Get Real.
