My reprint of the "Glovebox Companion" says that you should use 90 wt oil
designed for hypoid gears. It lists Mobilube GX90, Shell Spirax 90 EP, Esso
Gear Oil GP90, BP-Energol EP SAE 90, Castrol Hypoy, and Duckham's Hypoid 90.
Take your pick, if you can find them.
