I agree. I redid my dash about fifteen years ago, and purchased it from the
original owner, it had no clips. Since the "vinyl" was in excellent "wear"
condition, no rips or tears, I decided to respray it with the vinyl paints
available from Eastwood, Camel, that matched Moss' tan interior perfectly.
It's held up extremely well, even with dangling key fobs, and
Armoral-soaked polishing cloths. Sounds like respraying these may save some
knuckles?
