There was a drawing of a Triumph Super Seven engine in the last issue 
of Club Triumph's magazine which illustrated this point. The top of 
the radiator is much higher than the top of the engine, and the 
connecting pipes are very large to ensure free circulation. The 
article mentions the car was introduced in 1927 (for those people as 
familiar with this car as I am!).
