nice
TR250, with a fully tricked out motor with (if I recall exactly what he
said) a ported head, different pistons (?), lightened flywheel, triple side
draft Webers, electronic ignition/fan, blah blah blah. He says the engine
delivers 190 hp, which I thought to be beyond the capacity of the
carbureted
2.5 liter. He also said he beat a Ford 5.0 Mustang in a little street duel
recently, and I don't believe he's prone to exaggeration.

All these "improvements" are just exactly what you get with a stock modern
car. The main reason a 3 litre minivan will out run a TR6 is because it
already has 10:1 compression, tuned induction and exhaust, high strength
materials, etc. etc. Comparing a stock Mustang to your friend's TR250 is
only appropriate.
