Is there something you can put on the inside of the hood, to quieten the
engine sound....??
Are the products listed heat resiliant....???  Or is there something else
you use for that...?

Try Lowes or Home Depot.  They sell a self-adhesive closed-cell foam
material
which is faced with quite heavy aluminum foil.  it" about 1/8 inch thick, 1

foot wide and comes in rolls about 15 feet long.  Usually sold to insulate
and quiet heating/air conditioning ductwork.  Works just fine
