Personally I am not in favor of this proposed change as it is inconsistent
with
the GCR requirements for Road Racing on which our class is based. Also I
don't
see the need for such a change. What does the rest of the class think?

The proposal would remove the requirement that you have an operational
reverse gear. It does not require you to remove the reverse gear.

The "Vicki Flier Rule" would still be in the rule book, so drivers would have
to decide whether it is more important to be able to back up or to not blow
up an FT200.

Since CM cars don't use FT200s, this is not a particularly important rule
change for this class. I suspect everyone will keep the reverse idler in the
gearbox to be able to back up away from that stop box pylon they slid up next
to.

Glad to see that the CM list is back!
