As one or two people have mentioned, the "regional dues" portion of the
money that you send to National gets sent back to the Region in the form of
a check to do with as they see fit.  The little check boxes on your
membership form that say where your money goes only apply to the portion of
your dues that goes to National SCCA.

In our Region, the dues money goes into the "Administrative" funds to cover
things like the newsletter and other things that are relevant to all
members, not just Soloists,just Racers, or just Rallyists.  The Solo
program carries itself.  The Club Racing program carries itself.  The Rally
program (if we had one) would carry itself.

If you want to know how YOUR region handles its funds, you need to ask your
Regional board of directors.  Better yet, if you're really concerned, get
yourself nominated and try to get elected to a position on the Board.
