Well, sort of. To clarify a bit, UK TR4As were equipped with IRS, but American 
spec 4As were available with either IRS 
or solid axle (the S-T marketing thinking at the time was that US buyers would 
be chary of the additional complications 
of IRS). So, there are US market TR4As with both solid axle and IRS.
