And so the game begins anew.

The dance of the neurotics when it comes to the explicit, minute, microscopic
reading of the rule book to disqualify someone for making a legal modification
to their car.

If a front sway bar is allowed, then any method within reason to attach it is
also allowed.

Structural support? The allowed trailer hitches add weight over rear wheels
which is an advantage for many rear drive cars ("may serve no other purpose",
hmmm), and it also serves as a frame stiffening device....by some reading of the
rules. BTW, the holes to attach the hitch or run the wiring are not explicitly
allowed by the rules either!

At some point reason needs to intercede.

You can add this discussion to the many others, like not allowing the drilling
of two small 1/4"-1/2" holes into the FABRIC of the rear trunk interior to
facilitate the adjustment of shock absorbers - "It's a performance advantage".
No, I did not make that up, it was a previous Team.net thread.

Another thread from some moons ago, the simplification of the rule book, is
exemplified here. At some point in time this type of situation needs to be
addressed before it implodes, and we lose people.

Won't happen? Want to bet it already hasn't?

Shouldn't need a law degree to race my darn car......
