The way I understand it is that there were no cars shipped from Japan to the
USA with the Solex option installed and that is why all the VIN plates are
stamped with 135 hp. Many dealers would update the cars once they got here
to solex specs.
Europe, Canada, and Australia got the solex cars that way from the factory
with 150 hp plates.
