I have to agree with Nolan that it should literally "drop" in place. Not 
that you would want to drop it on.

Also on the subject of the seals - all new at the end of last year when 
I had the hard top painted along with the rest of the car (and had the 
marks where the top had really been dropped on removed), so they are 
really thick and have not been compressed. "Dropped" right on without 
any alignment problem.
